Danville Metal Stamping Co., Inc. is hiring for entry-level Manufacturing Engineers. Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for the development of processes required to successfully fabricate aerospace engine parts.
Essential functions of the position include:
Develops the processes required to successfully manufacture parts to the customers’ specifications
Functions as the point of contact for our customers as it relates to the manufacturing of our parts
Resolves manufacturing process problems related to assigned part families
Drives process improvement initiatives related to assigned part families
Supports employees throughout the production processes
Reads and interprets blueprints
Uses precision measurement equipment
Daily use of computer and specific software programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, IFS, Unigraphics
Daily communication with employees at all levels of the organization and customers
Sitting up to 6 hours per day
Walking and/or standing up to 3 hours per day
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the position include:
Prior experience and/or education in the engineering field is required
Proficiency with computer aided 2-D and 3-D design of complex 3-dimensional contours
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes that are needed to fabricate products
Demonstrated dedication to understanding and applying lean manufacturing principles
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred
Compensation & Benefits Summary
Pay Range: $55,000-$75,000/yr.
