Sheet Metal Worker
Danville Metal Stamping Co., Inc. is hiring for entry-level Sheet Metal Workers. Sheet Metal Workers are responsible for operating a variety of hand tools to perform sheet metal assembly, forming, and fabricating of aerospace engine parts.
Essential Functions
Operate hand tools and machinery to assemble, form, grind, and fabricate sheet metal
Inspect parts and materials during the production process
Basic computer skills
Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
Use calipers, micrometers, height stands, and indicators
Daily housekeeping/6S duties
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability with basic math skills
Prior experience with sheet metal work, including assembling, grinding, or forming is preferred
Demonstrated mechanical ability
Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred
While performing duties of the job, the employee is required with or without accommodation to:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $16.00-$17.00/hour
