Job Summary: Under general supervision, administer and implement Environmental Protection (EP) programs at assigned facility(ies). Serve as the facility EP contact, assisting field operations personnel and management with technical guidance on EP topics and regulatory compliance. Monitor and investigate compliance status, providing training and specific recommendations to site, district, and Market Area (MA) management and operations personnel. This position may be required to lead EP team professionals and staff.

- Communicate and implement corporate EP program policies and strategies within assigned facility(ies).
- Serve as the facility EP contact regarding incident notifications, environmental issues, permit applications, and expansion projects across water, air, and waste regulatory frameworks.
- Identify local, state, and federal regulatory impacts on operations. Provide compliance enforcement support to operating facilities by investigating and assessing regulatory findings. Prepare related documents and coordinate with site/MA staff on action plan resolution and regulatory agency negotiations.
- Plan, organize, and secure environmental permits and regulatory approvals, preparing related documentation.
- Develop, coordinate, record, and oversee field EP testing, investigations, assessments, and guidance. Manage activities related to petroleum products, leachate, landfill gas, sanitary and industrial wastewaters, stormwater, and groundwater in relation to the collection, transportation, and disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
- Provide budget guidance for facility EP projects.
- Offer technical and project direction to outside consultants, site staff, and Market Area personnel on EP program implementation, improvement, and maintenance. Assist in resolving current or potential environmental issues.
- Coordinate, prepare, and deliver EP training and education to facility staff.
- Maintain EP data tracking system databases (Cycle, Dakota Tracer) and provide company-related reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (accredited) OR, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or GED (accredited) plus four years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: Seven years of relevant work experience in environmental protection, in addition to the education requirement.
- Knowledge of regulatory environments as they apply to environmental protection and compliance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams platforms.
- General computer acumen and ability to learn job-related technical software.
- Familiarity with statistical methods.
- Strong research skills.
- The normal setting for this job includes both office environments and hazardous waste landfill/outdoor locations.
