Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Shift: 9 am–5 pm | 4 weekdays + 1 weekend day
Contract: 13 weeks (With possible extension)
Hours Per Week: 40 hours/week
Pay rate: $35 to $40/hr
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Surgical Adult Clinic team. This role supports acute care patients, including individuals with medically complex conditions. Ideal candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and managing a diverse caseload.
Responsibilities Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Conduct comprehensive dysphagia evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies. Deliver evidence-based therapy to acute care and medically complex patients. Participate in care conferences, family education, and discharge planning.
Required Skills & Experience Minimum
1 year of experience
as a Speech Clinician;
2+ years acute care experience preferred . Experience working with
medically complex cases . Dysphagia training required . Strong clinical judgement and communication skills.
Education & Certifications Valid
NYSED Speech Language Pathologist license
(Primary Source Verification required). BLS certification preferred .
