A hospital in Staten Island is looking for a Geriatrician to join their dedicated outpatient team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 9am-5pm
- Setting: Outpatient
- Patient Population: Adults 65+
Responsibilities:
- Provide office-based management of the geriatric population
- Impart geriatric care protocols and standards across all network adult medicine providers
- Teach medical residents the principals of geriatric care, including giving lectures
- Create continuum of care transition models to support home health, family support, and post-acute care protocols
- Work collaboratively with hospital medicine and ED physicians to create a well-developed program of competencies in managing geriatric patient needs
Qualifications:
- License to practice medicine in New York
- Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine AND the completion of a geriatrics fellowship OR a passion for working with geriatric patients
