No fee SCCU accounts Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Proactively collaborates with stakeholders and facilitates requirements gathering using interviews, workshops, document analysis, workflow analysis and other techniques to create the business requirements document (BRD) and the functional design document (FDD). Acquires stakeholder & sponsor sign-off of BRD & FDD. Ensures continuous user involvement in the analysis, development, and implementation process of new applications, enhancements, and fixes through the organization and working with the Project Manager to follow project plans, convey accurate project status, and identify issues, risks and changes along with their impacts and solutions, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment Manage and maintain all requirements materials and traceability matrices, validate software deliverables early during the SDLC to ensure business & functional expectations are met. Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood Works with Quality Assurance in the coordination of and participate in functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Assist stakeholders and business users as needed in functional testing and in UAT to ensure they have independently verified deliverables before production release. Work with business clients providing demos, create user guides, release notes and other supporting documentation. Ensure adherence to all Project Management and IT standards, processes, and methodologies, including Quality Assurance (QA), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC). Support the preparation of business case proposals and develop thorough project plans including project scope, schedule, resources, budget and risks. May serve as contact point for technical issues between vendor and our company or with business users within the company. Contributes to the overall growth and maturity of the Business Analysis function within the PMO organization by engaging in collaborative and constructive discussions. Be the advisor or coach to new or lower-level business analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned. Support the AVP, PMO in building out the PMO and the Business Analyst function which includes but not limited to creating procedures, work instructions, process mapping, document requirements and being an advocate for project management and business analyst within Space Coast Credit Union. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to work successfully in both independent and team-oriented environments across multiple areas to achieve common business objectives, even in ambiguous situations. They should also have experience working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment and be able to gather requirements from clients or business. Experience with the full product lifecycle and understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies is a must. The candidate should be able to drive results and be accountable for business needs. They should be capable of leading and managing technical and business resources with varying levels of knowledge, experience, and backgrounds. Additionally, they should be able to react promptly and efficiently to project adjustments and alterations and be flexible during times of change. The ability to defuse tension among project teams, if it arises, and bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity is also essential. Prioritization and execution of tasks, problem-solving in high-pressure environments, strong written and oral communication skills, experience in presenting to stakeholders and/or senior leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies are all crucial for this position. EXPERIENCE 10+ years of Business Analyst experience gathering and documenting requirements, testing, planning, executing, and delivering large-scale, complex, and high-risk software development, vendor software products, and infrastructure projects. Strong experience developing and implementing business analysis processes, procedures, and structure within a project organization and mentoring and coaching junior Business Analysts. In-depth understanding and experience in a senior BA position that follows a structured Project Management/Software Development life cycle and proficient in managing projects using predictive, adaptive, and hybrid methodology/framework. Strong understanding and experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps, SharePoint and project management tools and systems for requirements, documentation, planning, tracking, resource and risk management. Previous experience as a Senior BA in a financial institution is preferred. EDUCATION & TRAINING Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration. Very strong work experience may substitute for formal education requirements. MBAMS a plus. Certified Business Analyst from IIBA, IQBBA, PMI or equivalent certification is highly preferred. Lean/Sigma certification preferred. Excellent understanding of business analysts and project management concepts around predictive, adaptive, and hybrid methodology/framework.
