Position Summary: BCTG's direct client is seeking an experienced
SAP ABAP Developer
to design, build, and deliver
WRICEF
objects supporting the integration of Supply Chain and Finance processes within an S/4HANA transformation. This developer will work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into performant, scalable technical solutions. The role will operate remotely with limited travel to the client's US headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-quality
WRICEF
objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) to support cross-functional process integration.
Build interfaces between Supply Chain and Finance modules (MM, PP, SD, WM/EWM, FI/CO) leveraging IDocs, BAPIs, BADI implementations, OData services, and APIs.
Collaborate with functional consultants to interpret requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
Perform unit testing, support integration testing, and troubleshoot defects across multiple environments.
Optimize ABAP code for performance and maintainability following SAP development standards.
Support data migration activities, including extract/transform/load routines and validation logic.
Work with Basis, Security, and Integration teams to ensure proper transport management, security roles, and interface connectivity.
Provide go-live readiness support and hypercare for technical objects.
Required Experience
15+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including advanced object-oriented ABAP.
Strong experience developing WRICEF objects in S/4HANA environments.
Hands‑on experience integrating Supply Chain and Finance processes through custom interfaces and enhancements.
Proficiency with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, CDS Views, and Adobe/Fiori forms.
Ability to produce clear technical specs, functional design documents, and unit test scripts.
Ideal Consultant Profile
Self‑directed developer who can handle end‑to‑end ownership of technical objects.
Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
Experience in fast‑paced project environments with frequent releases or iterative builds.
