Job Details Associate or Counsel – Transactional Tax
Location: Chicago Office
Experience: 3+ years
We are part of a collaborative Tax practice that partners with clients on complex transactions. Our team advises on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and other strategic deals. We help clients structure transactions efficiently while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws.

What We’re Looking For
Skills Minimum of 3 years in transactional tax law. Strong understanding of federal income tax principles related to corporate transactions. Experience with partnership taxation, M&A structuring, and tax planning. Ability to analyze and advise on tax implications of complex deals.
Attributes Detail-oriented with excellent drafting and analytical skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. Committed to delivering practical, business-focused solutions.
Preferred Qualifications Experience advising on tax aspects of private equity or venture capital transactions. Familiarity with international tax considerations and state/local tax issues. LL.M. in Taxation is a plus but not required.
