You will play a key part in shaping safety culture, driving regulatory compliance, integrating EHS into daily operations, and supporting client-facing teams serving sectors such as higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial environments.

Create and execute EHS&T strategies, policies, and programs aligned with organizational objectives, operational processes, and stakeholder expectations.

Collaborate with customer- and operations-facing teams to understand needs and incorporate EHS&T considerations into service delivery.

Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team of field-facing EHS professionals.

Partner closely with operational leadership to embed EHS&T principles into workflows, procedures, and decision-making.

Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and transportation regulations across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions.

Develop and oversee health and safety initiatives aimed at reducing injuries, incidents, and occupational risks.

Champion a proactive safety culture emphasizing engagement, learning, and continuous improvement.

Apply Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concepts to strengthen operational learning and resilience.

Conduct risk assessments, audits, and evaluations to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.

Lead incident reviews, root-cause analyses, and implementation of systemic corrective measures.

Oversee policies related to driver safety, fleet operations, and vehicle compliance.

Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, ensuring readiness across multiple locations.

Track, analyze, and report key EHS&T performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS and/or transportation safety, including at least 5 years in an operational leadership role.

Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, OSHA standards, transportation safety rules, and related compliance frameworks.

Demonstrated success designing and implementing EHS&T programs.

Experience promoting safety culture and applying HOP principles.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.

Strong consulting and systems/project management capabilities.

Ability to work in varied environments, including office, field, and facility settings.

Willingness to travel periodically to multiple sites and respond to urgent situations outside standard hours.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar credentials.
