EHS Director

The EHS Director is responsible for overseeing the environmental, health, and safety programs within the organization. This role involves developing strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety, and managing risks associated with transportation and trucking operations. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections of transportation and trucking operations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead training programs for employees on EHS practices and safety protocols. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in EHS performance. Oversee incident investigations and reporting related to safety and environmental issues. Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure timely communication regarding EHS matters. Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in EHS roles, with a focus on transportation and trucking operations. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices, including HSE and DOT/FMCSA compliance. Experience in fleet management and maintenance is a plus. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve EHS performance. Certifications in EHS management (e.g., CSP, CIH) are preferred but not required. Fleet or brokerage of 1,000 trucks. Benefits
