Description
The Vice President of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for driving annual Corporate Partnership department strategy, revenue, activation, and renewal. The role requires a strategic leader with strong commercial acumen, including experience in dynamic solutions-based sponsorship sales, exceptional relationship development and strong account management skills. This position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Provide leadership and direction for corporate partnership business planning, strategy and department execution in support of organizational/department goals and objectives
Relentlessly prospect, generate corporate leads, develop relationships, identify customer needs, provide solutions, develop dynamic sales presentation, negotiate, and close new business that drives organizational revenue growth
Continually refine and implement sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
Oversee a portfolio of business, maintaining consistent touchpoints and providing excellent customer service
Collaborate with Partnership Services team to fulfill agreements, develop ideas, support activation, and maximize value for partners to drive retention and upsells
Track, measure, analyze and report sales activity and forecasts
Foster and promote a collaborative and vibrant team culture
Participate in regular leadership team and department meetings
Additional Responsibilities Include The Following
Lead the development and submission of biannual WNBA Revenue Report
Provide event activation support as needed at games, at the Center for Basketball Performance, and other events

Education Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Sports Marketing, Business, Communications, Sales, or similar
Related Experience 10+ years of experience in high-level media, event and/or sponsorship sales with a proven track record of driving YOY sales growth and achieving and or exceeding goals. Polished business development and retention skills required.
