Job Summary: The Network Operations Center Technician (NOCT) monitors, manages, and adheres to Geographic Solutions standards for proactive enterprise systems, infrastructure, network, security, and application monitoring. The NOCT operates and supports Geographic Solutions monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion, Zabbix, PureStorage, Nimble Storage, VMware VirtualCenter, and other point tools.
Work Location: Onsite in Palm Harbor, FL
Note: 3rd shift
Duties & Responsibilities
Operate within standard three-tier Internet-facing web service environment in a Microsoft-based environment.
Maintain, train, mentor, and evolve enterprise monitoring, alerting, reporting, and analysis tools to manage SaaS client environments and corporate infrastructure.
Create support tickets and ensure incident resolution.
Monitor scheduled SQL jobs, SFTP file delivery, SSIS packages, and provide escalation as needed.
Respond to alerts and notify internal/external teams for problem resolution.
Assist in conference call setups for outages, initiate swat calls, and diagnose problems.
Collect information for Root Cause Analysis documentation for internal and external customers.
Troubleshoot technologies such as Web, SQL, SFTP, file servers, Windows Server 2012/2019, IIS, Application Pools, SQL Server 2012/2016/2019, SQL Clustering, console applications, secure remote access, SANs, MPLS, VPNs, and Terminal Services.
Add new devices, applications, and services to NOC toolsets following MAC processes and monitoring templates.
Maintain detailed documentation of server specifications, inventory, topology, and physical connectivity.
Support Problem and Incident Management, including triage, severity determination, ticket creation, notification, escalation, communication, and resolution.
Willing to do shift work and work weekends as required.
Requirements
1–2 years of operational experience with proactive monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds Orion, Zabbix).
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, network monitoring, firewalls, load balancers, switching, routing, and network sniffers.
Experience monitoring, reporting, and performing capacity planning on SAN solutions (Compellent, EMC, Nimble).
Experience monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, DNS, IDS/IPS, and related utilities.
Knowledge of troubleshooting web services from browser to database tier, focusing on IIS, application pools, console apps, scripts, and web services.
Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings in a fast-paced environment.
Multitasking and prioritization skills under dynamic project and client demands.
Excellent oral, written, and mentoring communication skills.
Detail-oriented documentation of architecture, support, and procedures.
Team player and key contributor in a growth-oriented company.
Self-starter with strong technology enablement and representation of IT teams.
Rapid learning and retention in fast-paced settings.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly flexible schedule and reliable transportation.

Qualifications / Certifications
Associate degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCSE, MCITP, MCDBA).
Special Requirements
Physical requirements may include lifting up to 50 lbs, sitting or standing for extended periods, and staying awake during evening and night shifts.
May be assigned various projects and tasks as needed.
