aerospace and defense industry
, producing high-precision machined components. We are seeking a
Quality Control Inspector
for our 2nd Shift who can accurately inspect machined parts, interpret engineering drawings, and support our commitment to quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Review customer-supplied engineering documents (blueprints) to determine efficient and accurate inspection methods Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using manual gauges and/or CMM equipment Identify out-of-tolerance dimensions/features and report findings promptly Provide accurate, timely inspection results, even under shifting deadlines and priorities Perform basic calibration of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators) using gage blocks or other calibrated tools Maintain a clean and organized workspace Assist with other duties as assigned by the QC Manager Qualifications
Basic computer skills Knowledge of AS9100 requirements Strong understanding of GD&T (including true position, concentricity, GD&T symbols, print interpretation, notes, etc.) Proficiency using manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, gage pins, indicators, etc.) Ability to determine appropriate inspection methods for accurate results Solid understanding of tolerances and the ability to identify out-of-tolerance conditions Strong math skills (decimals, geometry, trigonometry) Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent Prior inspection experience required Prior CMM experience required (setup, running programs, interpreting results, verifying dimensions manually) CMM programming experience is a plus (PC-DMIS CAD or CAD ) Benefits
