Base pay range $64,480.00/yr - $66,560.00/yr
Operations Technician Responsibilities
Operate and monitor plant systems, control room equipment, and process controls to ensure safe and continuous production aligned with SOP and environmental standards.
Perform daily plant rounds, inspections, and report on operating conditions, equipment status, and performance trends.
Troubleshoot and correct issues with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment including AD equipment and 3-phase motors.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks and assist with planning maintenance and outage activities.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions during upset or emergency conditions to restore normal operations.
Test electrical systems using diagnostic tools and perform wiring repairs up to 480V.
Coordinate ordering and procurement of parts, supplies, and materials.
Assist with installation, removal, and modification of equipment and infrastructure.
Support hazardous waste handling and compliance activities.
Maintain accurate operational logs, documentation, and daily activity reporting.
Respond to callouts and rotating on-call responsibilities as needed.
Occasionally support external fieldwork and wellfield technicians.
Operations Technician Requirements
1 - 3+ years of experience in landfill gas processing, industrial maintenance, power plant operations, chemical operations, or related industrial environments
Strong electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, and instrumentation aptitude
Ability to interpret P&IDs, schematics, technical manuals, PLC/HMI panels, and SCADA systems
Comfortable diagnosing issues, working independently, and making decisions under pressure
Hands‑on problem solver who enjoys learning and tackling complex challenges
Ability to work a rotating on‑call schedule and handle overtime during outages or upset conditions
Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background, physical, DOT, and hair follicle drug test
Experience over degree is welcomed
3+ years of experience with landfill gas processing or power plant operations preferred
Technical certifications or advanced trade school training preferred
Strong analytical mindset and passion for continuous learning preferred
