Job Description

We are looking for part‑time (22.5 hours per week) Housekeeping Workers for our Manhattan campus. The shift is evening, 3 pm to 11 pm, and we need workers who are available to work every weekend and holidays, as needed and who can attend a 5‑day orientation.

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager, you will clean and service building areas, move furniture, equipment and supplies, and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Job Duties

• Clean, disinfect and sanitize all areas of the facility including corridors, common areas, lobby, offices, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators.
• Collect, clean, re‑line receptacles and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection‑control plans.
• Clean, disinfect and sanitize resident rooms and corridors, including high‑touch areas, furniture, beds, restrooms, hand rails, over‑bed tables, and commodes using proper techniques and chemicals.
• Work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return items to their correct placement.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Remove and transport regulated medical waste in compliance with infection‑control and blood‑borne pathogen policies and procedures.
• Ensure all assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary and attractive manner.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain infection‑control practices at all times.

Requirements

• HS graduate or GED preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
