Job Description

White Elephant Resorts is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join the acclaimed culinary team at TOPPER’S at The Wauwinet, a Relais & Châteaux property and one of Nantucket’s premier fine-dining destinations. This role is ideal for a creative and motivated pastry professional who delivers exceptional quality and presentation.

Position dates April – October 2026. Housing available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, and specialty items.
• Support daily production for fine dining, room service, and banquet events.
• Maintain strict cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
• Follow recipes accurately; scale and adjust as needed.
• Assist with inventory, storage rotation, and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team.

Qualifications

• 2 years pastry experience in a fine-dining environment (preferred).
• Food handling certification required.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end kitchen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
