Job Summary Full Time Pediatric SLP – Spaulding Charlestown Outpatient – 40 Hours

Responsible to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders.

Essential Functions

Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.

Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed.

Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Education:

Master’s Degree Speech Therapy required.

Experience:

1‑2 years of experience required; 3+ years preferred; Experience evaluating and treating pediatric feeding disorders strongly preferred; Experience with AAC devices strongly preferred; Not accepting Clinical Fellows at this time.

Licenses and Credentials:

Speech‑language Pathologist (State License); Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver’s License (State License) preferred; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology [CCC‑A] (American Speech Language Hearing Association) preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology [CCC‑SLP] (American Speech Language Hearing Association) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Familiarity of diagnostic assessments for speech language; Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures independently; Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech‑language pathology scope of practice; Understanding of implications of new information for problem‑solving and decision‑making; Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
