Job Summary Full Time
Pediatric SLP
in Spaulding Charlestown Outpatient, 40 hours per week.
Essential Functions
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Qualifications Education:
Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy required. No experience in lieu of a degree.
Licenses and Credentials:
Speech-language Pathologist [State License] – Generic; Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver’s License; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A) preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
Experience:
1‑2 years required, 3+ years preferred. Experience evaluating and treating pediatric feeding disorders strongly preferred. Experience with AAC devices strongly preferred. Not accepting clinical fellows at this time.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech language.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures independently.
Ability to perform functions associated with audiology and speech‑language pathology scope of practice.
Understanding implications of new information for problem‑solving and decision‑making.
Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
