Job Description The Rotable Pool Manager is a strategic and critical role responsible for the end‑to‑end management of the rotable asset inventory. This includes overseeing rotable pools that support both Power By the Hour (PBH) contracts and Ad‑Hoc Standard Exchange programs. The manager is tasked with ensuring the availability of rotable assets to meet customer maintenance, repair, and overhaul demands while proactively driving core unit recovery and assessing the long‑term health and financial viability of the entire pool.

Responsibilities
Rotable Pool and Inventory Management
Lead the management of the rotable pool inventory, ensuring adequate coverage for scheduled and unscheduled removals.
Analyze raw data to identify cost drivers, improve stock accuracy, and reduce inventory/logistics cost while mitigating performance risks.
Conduct proactive pool health assessments based on existing and future contracts to identify and address potential shortages.
Determine inventory obsolescence and develop strategies for disposition or alternative use of aging assets.
Prepare robust business cases for new asset acquisition to support contract needs and replace obsolete stock.
Develop and maintain a robust inventory process, establishing min/max stock levels for all components.
Collaborate with MRO functions to analyze forecast data across multiple horizons (6 months, 12 months, 3 years) to inform sizing exercises.
Adjust pool levels based on key performance indicators such as scrap rates, core recovery rates, and repair turnaround times.
Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems and databases for efficient material management and alternate part identification.
Core Unit Recovery and Follow‑up
Serve as the primary interface to internal MRO shops and customer‑facing departments regarding core returns.
Actively monitor the return of core units to ensure payback for both PBH and Standard Exchange contracts.
Ensure timely recovery of core units to meet OEM and third‑party MRO warranty claim deadlines.
Track overdue cores and manage billing of applicable late penalties to customers.
Maintain a comprehensive “Cores Due In” report to track all outstanding cores.
Provide regular analysis of core recovery data (monthly/quarterly), including outstanding cores, expected due dates, and identification of late cores.
Coordinate with internal departments to support timely recovery and update status upon receipt.
Metrics Management and Reporting
Support and lead the creation and maintenance of KPI reports and presentations for MRO and pool performance.
Conduct detailed data analysis to provide insights into pool utilization, core recovery effectiveness, and inventory health.
Develop and sustain internal reporting that provides visibility into the status and value of the rotable pool.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (required).
Master’s degree (preferred).
Experience
Five (5) years in Customer Service, Technical Support, or related field within aerospace/aviation industry (required).
Experience in rotorcraft maintenance or field service (preferred).
Experience working with military contracts and fulfilling contractual requirements (preferred).
Licensure / Certifications
None required.
A&P License (preferred).
Travel
Minimal 5% domestic and international.
Citizenship
Authorized to work in the US.
Clearance
None required.
Required Skills
Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
Experience in project management and process improvement.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Physical Requirements
100% onsite; prompt regular attendance required.
Vision: ability to read documents and engineering drawings.
Hearing: participation in conversations and teleconferences.
Carrying up to 10 lbs; pushing/pulling small office furniture occasionally.
Frequent independent travel.
