Position Overview: We are seeking a full time adult Psychiatrist to join our inpatient hospital team in Jefferson City, MO. This full time, onsite role involves providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients aged 12+.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for a caseload of approximately 16 patients per day.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff and a Medical Staff Coordinator, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Call rotation & weekend coverage required.
Qualifications
Board Certified, or eligible, Psychiatrist.
Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Missouri or the ability to obtain one.
Active DEA registration in Missouri or eligibility to obtain.
Strong clinical skills with a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
