About The Role The Project Manager works directly under the Senior Project Manager. The role entails full responsibility for the administrative side of projects, managing all budgetary and financial aspects, client and project team relationships, mentoring team members, and delivering client deliverables. Responsibilities include overall planning, direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects, leading and monitoring Field Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Assistant Project Managers, coordinating with Project Superintendents or Foremen, and developing, approving, and monitoring project plans and schedules.
What You'll Be Doing
Organize and control project elements to complete tasks.
Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and consulting with management.
Define project responsibilities by identifying phases and elements, assigning personnel, and reviewing contractor bids.
Prepare cost estimates.
Determine project schedule by studying plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing elements.
Maintain the project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
Control the project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan changes, and recommending actions.
Control project costs by approving expenditures and managing contractor contracts.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions.
Coordinate multiple on‑site contractors to ensure project completion.
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations and corporate policies.
Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.
What We’re Looking For
Education:
Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.
Field of Study Preferred:
Construction, Project Management, Civil Engineering.
Required Work Experience:
Heavy highway construction or related industry with 7 years of experience.
Required Training/Certifications:
Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor, Traffic Control Supervisor.
Required Technical Skills:
Proficient computer and communication skills, use of MS Office; SAP knowledge and spreadsheet experience is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
Must travel and work directly on assigned projects.
Additional Requirements
Adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
