Opportunity The San Francisco office is seeking a Project Architect to be responsible for the leadership and technical execution of project design, building code and stamping, technical quality of project documentation.

Your Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard construction components and systems to execute design intent;

Responsible for stamping and sealing bid documents;

Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of professional work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope;

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and ADA requirements;

Assist the Project Director in developing project staff‑hours and planning schedule for his/her aspects of the project;

Coordinate the layout, design, drafting, and specifications produced by other architects and technicians who assist in specific assignments;

Mentor junior staff; assist in the development of future project architects;

Assist the Project Director in establishing project design criteria;

Stay informed of new developments and systems in the field of architectural practice and design;

Promote technologies and methodologies to create innovative approaches and improve technical quality of work product; keep abreast of new technologies, changes in building codes, and advances in the industry;

Work collaboratively in a cross‑discipline environment to produce integrated project documents, and insure integrated design approaches & solutions.

Capabilities and Credentials

Academic, Data Center, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Science & Technology experience preferred;

Requires thorough knowledge of architectural practice;

Requires thorough knowledge of code principles;

Ability to use CAD and/or BIM software;

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;

Ability to lead others and foster teamwork;

Ability to use good judgment and make timely decisions;

Requires knowledge of basic firm financial metrics related to project management;

Proactive management style.

Education and Experience Professional degree in Architecture

10 years of related experience

Licensed Architect required

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range

Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$127,400.00 - $191,100.00 Annually

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
