Opportunity Join a top‑10 global integrated design firm in our Florida Buildings practice that provides architecture, buildings engineering, and interior design services. Our Austin office is seeking a Project Architect to develop elevations, sections, 3D renderings, and architectural details for projects. You will assist on innovative prototypes designed with sustainable products and green architecture sensibility.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and directing work throughout the project life cycle.

Develop design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, massing studies, and other visual formats.

Utilize BIM technologies to develop 3D models of buildings and components.

Participate in design critiques and pin‑ups.

Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and revise documentation including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.

Participate in bidding and negotiation phases and prepare addenda.

Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and prepare site observation reports.

Lead project coordination and meetings with team members and external stakeholders.

Participate in client requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.

Assist in preparing project specifications and coordinating specs with construction documents.

Participate in constructability reviews.

Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects.

Ensure work meets budget, schedule, and overall planning goals.

Capabilities and Credentials

Knowledge of accessibility and building codes.

Understanding of all phases of architectural documentation.

General knowledge of building construction systems, materials, and industry standards.

Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacency coordination.

Skill in developing floor plans, wall sections, and details.

Accuracy checking and time management.

Team collaboration throughout all phases.

Creative and critical thinking.

Hand sketching and concept communication.

Interpretation of sketches, drawings, and program materials.

Clear verbal and written communication.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Newforma, Sefaira, and Bluebeam.

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Architecture or bachelor’s degree supporting licensure.

Registered Architect in Florida preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience preferred.

Experience in education is a plus.

Pay Transparency Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible.
