You will own software in all phases of the software life‑cycle, from architecture and design through deployment and release. You will learn about Amazon’s logistics network, collaborate with other teams to build optimized systems, and have the autonomy to deliver software that impacts multiple delivery provider programs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable software solutions ensuring high performance and reliability. Contribute significantly to the full software development life cycle including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance while demonstrating operational excellence. Solve complex, previously unsolved challenges in retail environments by applying strong technical design skills and creating innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience. Actively participate in the code review process, providing meaningful feedback to team members and ensuring high‑quality software development standards. Collaborate across Senior Engineers, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers to develop Last Mile tech solutions. Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication and independently deliver quality results in a fast‑paced environment. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. Experience programming with at least one software programming language. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
