We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Senior Audio Visual Service Technician
to join a leading
Government and Commercial AV Integrator
in the Richmond, VA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and supporting a wide range of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related systems. This position requires the ability to work independently, think critically, and operate with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities Provide technical support for audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems Diagnose and troubleshoot system-related issues Proactively manage, update, and resolve service tickets Repair AV, videoconferencing, and IT systems as needed, including cable re-termination Configure and program AV equipment for various applications Coordinate with manufacturers to identify and resolve technical problems Assess and recommend whether to repair or replace defective equipment Document all activities and maintain accurate service records
Qualifications Minimum of
3 years of experience
in audiovisual service, installation, or field support Strong understanding of AV signal flow, control systems, and networking fundamentals Experience working with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, or similar systems Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in the field Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Licenses & Certifications CTS or equivalent certification Relevant manufacturer-specific certifications Crestron CTI-P301 (passed) Biamp Certification QSC Certification Other industry certifications preferred Valid drivers license
