We are seeking a highly skilled
GIS Data Analyst
to support the creation, maintenance, and quality assurance of critical geospatial infrastructure data for enterprise-level Engineering initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of GIS data used across the organization
including compliance-related programs and operational analytics. The ideal candidate is a hands-on GIS professional with strong analytical skills, advanced geospatial editing experience, and the ability to interpret field data into accurate digital representations.
PTC (Positive Train Control) and rail experience are preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities Create, modify, and quality-check geospatial infrastructure data for engineering and business operations Utilize GIS tools to ensure accurate topology and track geometry representation Convert field-collected spatial data into a validated digital rail network aligned with organizational standards Review, approve, and promote data change sets submitted by GIS/CAD technicians Conduct regular inventory analysis including track mileage, asset counts, and spatial measurements Collaborate with engineering sub-groups and business partners to support enterprise GIS initiatives Contribute to the preparation, assembly, and deployment of geospatial data to support compliance programs and corporate systems Support continuous improvement by recommending cost-saving initiatives leveraging GIS technologies Assist senior GIS staff in additional GIS responsibilities as needed

capabilities Ability to interpret engineering drawings, field data, and spatial reference materials Familiarity working with infrastructure or utility network datasets Excellent communication and collaboration skills Bachelors degree required
