Datacenter Technician
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Duration: 12+ months (yearly renewals)
Rate: W2 hourly + OT
1st shift: 9AM

The team is responsible for installations, break fixes, fiber cabling, decommission, and support an enterprise datacenter.
2+ years of Data Center experience Experience troubleshooting layer 1 Rack / cabinet installations Install power strips within cabinets Power up cabinets, label rack, Plug in IT equipment using best practices for loading a cabinet and power strips. Unboxing of hardware and disposal of packing material Rack and stack of IT devices Configure ILO / IDRAC on servers / network gear Install all patch cords as required. Vendor access approval for break fix activity and facility repairs. Perform server hardware component replacement like, failed cards, memory, and hard drives Perform equipment decommissioning as requested, including: Removal of associated fiber and Ethernet cables Separate hard drives or other components as directed Team player with a positive attitude
