Job Description Luminator Technology Group is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for Management Software to oversee stationary smart displays in the transit industry, such as at train stations, bus stops, and airports. You will lead a team responsible for designing and developing Information Systems that provide transit operators with efficient, flexible, and intelligent real-time stationary solutions connecting passengers to vital information. The team also develops real-time information systems utilizing GPS and data feeds to track vehicle positions and predict arrival times. About the Role: As a Software Engineering Manager , you will lead backend and frontend engineers, as well as DevOps specialists, working on our Management Software for Transit. Your role is vital in driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful product delivery. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire your team to foster a positive, collaborative environment. Technical Strategy: Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap, driving innovation. Project Delivery: Oversee planning, execution, and delivery to ensure timely, high-quality releases. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product managers, customer success teams, and stakeholders to align initiatives with business goals. Talent Development: Identify skill gaps, provide training, and promote continuous learning within the team. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent. Experience: 10+ years in software development, including leadership roles. Skills: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and other development methodologies. Team management and performance evaluation skills. Full stack decision-making, build vs buy analysis. Technical Experience: Object-oriented programming: Go, C# Relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases Transport protocols: SFTP, HTTPS, networking Web technologies: JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 Cloud environments, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes Implementing DevOps practices Preferred Experience: Managing global engineering teams Building IoT applications/products for transportation Integrating software on embedded devices Developing scalable AI/ML applications for B2B markets Join us in shaping transit technology and making a meaningful impact.
