Medical Laboratory Scientist
to support our client’s medical facility in
Irving, TX . This is a
3+ month
contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Location:
Irving, TX 75063 Pay Rate: $35 - $40/hr. on W2. Duration: 3+ Months Shift:
Tues - Sat
3 pm-11:30 pm *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Job Responsibilities: Handle, process, and analyze specimens according to lab procedures. Review, verify, and release test results. Perform testing using approved methods and follow department SOPs. Maintain accurate records for patient tests and proficiency testing. Follow all CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety regulations. Perform and document quality control, calibrations, and equipment maintenance. Identify and report issues affecting test accuracy or performance. Document corrective actions when test results fall outside acceptable standards. Report STAT and critical results according to department protocol. Assist customers or lab staff with questions if needed. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area. Ensure reagents and test kits are labeled, dated, and tracked correctly. Participate in training, meetings, and continuing education. Assist during regulatory or agency inspections if required. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: BS in Medical Technology preferred / OR BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology/ OR Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology. National certification (ASCP or AMT) preferred or eligible.
