Role: Medical Laboratory Scientist Location:
Irving, TX 75063 Shift Schedule : 3rd shift OR Tuesday – Saturday, 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Hours per Week:
40 hours Start Date:
ASAP
Pay Highlights:
$30-40/hour (Based on 1-10 years of experience)
Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Operations Perform specimen handling, processing, analysis, and reporting according to laboratory SOPs. Review, verify, and release test results with accuracy and attention to detail. Conduct testing of proficiency samples in the same manner as patient specimens. Maintain complete, accurate records of all testing performed. Quality Control & Compliance Follow all CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards. Document quality control activities, instrument calibrations, and routine maintenance. Identify issues affecting test performance and take corrective action or notify senior staff as required. Document all deviations and corrective actions per laboratory guidelines. Customer & Department Support Report STAT and critical results according to department protocols. Respond to inquiries from clients, physicians, and internal laboratory staff as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Participate in new procedure training, monthly departmental meetings, and required safety education. Support regulatory agency inspections as needed.
Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology. Accepted: BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Previously qualified Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 (March 14, 1990). Foreign Education:
Credential evaluation required (IERF). U.S. Education:
Must provide official transcript.
Certification:
MT/MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) - required
Experience: Minimum of
1 year
of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing preferred. Experience in multiple laboratory disciplines is beneficial.

Local candidates within 30-40 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
