Job Summary and Responsibilities
Pre-operative preparation : Comprehensive patient education about the procedure, discussion of expectations, wound care instructions, medication management, and potential risks. Gathering detailed medical histories, performing physical assessments, obtaining informed consent, and ensuring all pre-operative tests are completed and reviewed.
Post-operative care and monitoring : Close monitoring of vital signs, assessment for complications (e.g., bleeding, infection, adverse reactions to anesthesia), pain management, and immediate post-operative wound care. Teaching patients and families about post-operative home care, medication schedules, activity restrictions, and signs of complications.
Documentation and communication : Meticulous recording of all patient interactions, assessments, procedures performed, medications administered, and observed changes in a timely manner. Facilitating communication between the patient, surgeon, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
In-clinic procedures : Assisting with and performing a variety of in-clinic procedures, including port/drain removals, wound/dressing changes, tissue expander fills, skin grafting, and skin excisions.
Job Requirements
Current Washington state license as an RN
BLS certification from the American Red Cross at time of hire
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Strong patient assessment skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Current working knowledge of electronic medical records

Pay Range $44.88 – $67.24 per hour
