Executive Director – Florida Association of PHCC (www.faphcc.org)
Location: Florida (Hybrid/State Travel Required)
Position Type: Full-Time (Part-Time may be considered)
The Florida Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (FAPHCC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Director to lead our statewide trade association into its next chapter. This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors to advance our mission, strengthen the industry, and support the businesses and professionals who protect the health, safety, and sustainability of Florida’s communities.
Key Responsibilities – Leadership & Strategic Direction
Serve as the primary public representative for the Florida P-H-C industry.
Partner with the Board of Directors to establish and execute strategic plans, goals, and initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, state/local leaders, and industry stakeholders.
Management & Operational Oversight
Oversee daily operations including membership, financial systems, and technology platforms.
Develop, manage, and monitor annual operating budgets; ensure fiscal responsibility.
Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, grant requirements, tax filings, and association governance documents.
Direct and support staff and volunteers in achieving organizational objectives.
Advocacy & Public Policy
Serve as the association’s lead advocate at the local, state, and national levels.
Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory developments to members and board officials.
Work with leadership to formulate policy positions and advance advocacy initiatives supporting the P-H-C industry.
Education & Training
Champion industry education, continuing education credits, apprentice training, and professional development.
Ensure members have access to current technology, better business practices, and industry-related news.
Collaborate with the PHCC National Educational Foundation to enhance training offerings.
Membership & Industry Engagement
Lead membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
Cultivate a strong industry network by organizing statewide meetings, events, and professional opportunities.
Promote the value and business-building benefits of FAPHCC membership.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in nonprofit or trade association management; P-H-C or construction industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in organizational development, member engagement, and financial oversight.
Proven fundraising experience and ability to identify new partnerships and revenue opportunities.
Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills.
Ability to execute strategic initiatives while managing daily operational needs.
Working knowledge of Florida licensing and regulatory issues is highly desirable.
