Role Purpose Statement We are seeking a
dynamic and results-driven Equipment & Assembly Supervisor
who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing dishroom and assembly operations, ensuring optimal equipment utilization, maintaining sanitation standards, and delivering high-quality products to our customers. The ideal candidate will actively engage employees in safety, compliance, and performance initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Main Accountabilities Operational Oversight
Manage daily operations for the
Miami 145 dishroom
and provide support to the Assembly department as needed.
Develop and execute daily production schedules, monitor output, and ensure adherence to timelines.
Oversee equipment functionality, preventive maintenance, and proper usage to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Monitor sanitation practices to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with
FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and GMP
regulations.
Supervisor Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of
45+ employees per shift , ensuring proper staffing and productivity.
Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals, safety updates, and performance expectations.
Schedule and manage labor resources to achieve productivity targets and control overtime costs.
Document and review operational processes to identify and implement improvements.
Guarantee on-time and accurate production and/or catering for all flights.
Enforce safety protocols and lead initiatives to reduce workplace hazards.
Leadership
Motivate, coach, and develop team members within company policies and values.
Drive productivity and cost efficiency; implement corrective actions when necessary.
Champion company initiatives such as
Quality Assurance, HACCP compliance, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety , and continuous improvement programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
1–3 years of supervisory experience in production, operations, or related field.
Experience in airline catering, dishroom operations, and manufacturing production preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying temperatures and conditions.
Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence and engage teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based applications.
Flexible schedule availability, including morning, mid, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to walk the production floor for extended periods and manage multiple priorities.
