About this Role
At dss+, the Manager of Sustainable Finance will engage in multiple high-impact client engagements focused on sustainability due diligence (ESG DD) projects, particularly for major private equity investors. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams, leading projects from start to finish, and delivering actionable insights that drive value creation. The Manager will also support other areas of Sustainable Finance such as Climate Risk and Resilience, Impact Investing, and Responsible Investment Advisory. Business development plays a crucial role in this position, requiring expertise in opportunity identification, proposal drafting, and client relationship management. Flexibility in work arrangements is offered, allowing for a dynamic and rewarding working environment. Responsibilities
Lead and deliver ESG Due Diligence projects, identifying material sustainability risks and opportunities. Manage client and internal teams, ensuring rigor, detail, and timely outputs. Engage with investment teams and stakeholders on sustainability findings and their implications. Conduct maturity assessments and benchmark responsible investment practices. Develop responsible investment strategies and align them with sustainability ambitions. Provide tailored training programs on sustainability and ESG topics. Create and review proprietary toolkits for pre- and post-investment sustainability risk analysis. Contribute to business development activities and client relationship management. Design and develop presentations, and moderate workshops independently. Mentor consultants and analysts, and lead medium-sized client teams. Extract new knowledge from project work and support thought leadership initiatives. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field; Master’s preferred. Over 7 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in ESG diligence or consulting. Familiarity with regulations and frameworks such as EU Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR, etc. CFA Certificate in ESG Investing is a plus. Strong analytical and financial skills, with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a strong work ethic. Proficiency in MS Office and financial literacy is expected. Knowledge of climate risk and resilience topics is highly beneficial. Benefits
