Summary The Senior Visual Merchandising Manager serves as a key creative and strategic leader, responsible for shaping and executing the visual merchandising vision across all showrooms, trade show environments, and photoshoots.

Reporting directly to the Visual Merchandising Director, this role requires a highly experienced professional with advanced creative vision, exceptional project leadership, and strong management capabilities. The Senior Visual Merchandising Manager must excel at complex, multi-layered initiatives with minimal oversight while ensuring brand consistency and elevating presentation standards across every touchpoint.

In addition, the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager plays a critical role in developing talent within the visual merchandising team, providing mentorship, constructive feedback, and skill development to strengthen individual contributors and elevate the overall effectiveness of the department.

Description

Leads the development and implementation of elevated visual merchandising standards and long-term visual guidelines to ensure brand consistency and an exceptional customer experience across all channels

Develops comprehensive merchandising roadmaps, including product presentation strategies, seasonal and bi-annual floor-set approaches, and long-range visual guides that support brand direction and business goals

Plans and directs the bi-annual showroom resets, overseeing floor planning, product curation, labor coordination, and on-site execution to ensure each showroom reflects current brand strategy and corporate standards

Partners closely with Sales and Marketing to assess and address showroom needs, including product availability, tagging requirements, and all necessary merchandising supplies

Collaborate with Showroom Managers and Assistants to establish, refine, and uphold best practices for ongoing showroom maintenance, display standards, and visual presentation quality

Leads the visual direction for product photoshoots, including set design, styling, prop sourcing, and on-site execution to ensure visuals align with merchandising objectives

Sources creative props and materials for all merchandising initiatives, maintaining a curated and organized library of assets

Provides strategic input to Product Development by evaluating market trends, sales performance, and visual presentation opportunities that inform product and merchandising decisions

Creates and continuously updates merchandising tools and reference materials, ensuring clear communication of visual standards and execution guidelines for all channels

Analyzes showroom merchandising performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending strategies to enhance presentation, engagement, and sales impact

Leads the development of innovative fixture solutions, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to design, prototype, and implement functional, scalable, and visually compelling display fixtures

Mentors and develops the visual merchandising team, providing coaching, skill development, and leadership to elevate the capabilities and performance of the department

Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support merchandising operations and ensure overall efficiency and execution excellence

Key Qualifications

A minimum of five or more years of progressive experience in visual merchandising or visual presentation at a senior or advanced level

Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Design, Marketing, or a related field

Strong creative and strategic thinking skills to develop innovative visual merchandising concepts

Ability to travel overnight, up to 40%

Confident presentation and digital literacy, with command of: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator

Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels, including office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and light foot traffic

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, handle materials, and manipulate equipment

Close vision requirements due to frequent use of computers and close inspection of visual merchandising materials and displays

Ability to distinguish and differentiate various shades of color for accurate visual merchandising and product placement

Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 50 pounds for showroom setups, deliveries, and other related tasks

Frequent walking and occasional bending, stooping, or reaching to organize, stock, or display merchandise

Pay range: $140,000 to $160,000 per year
