What to Expect We're a small team of experts creating the next-generation server-side infrastructure to support the growing fleet of Tesla products. We're currently pushing innovation & developing new business lines. We're looking for a hands on Tech Lead to come help build the technology stack that will power Tesla's future.

Join us and you will work alongside world-class software and data engineers on some of the newest and most challenging IoT and navigation services in the world today. The platform you help us build will be part of the solution for robotaxis vehicles navigating the world autonomously.

You will be responsible for advancing the roadmap and execution of core systems in our vehicle portfolio, scaling Tesla robotaxis network and improving the whole back-end infrastructure stack for vehicles and robots. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help us build and improve a platform that helps us build will scale novel functionality to tens of millions of products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a large impact in the Tesla product roadmap and mission.

What You'll Do

Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs

Work closely with cross-functional teams, in Product, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to drive roadmaps to completion

Influence architectural decisions with focus on security, scalability and high-performance

Solve problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experience, or equivalent

3+ years of building SaaS applications, preferably in a service-oriented architecture

Direct technical contributions in your current role, in code and design

Extensive background in web services and distributed systems development

Expertise in modern web developments frameworks, preferably Golang

Demonstrated success with scalable web applications or messaging systems

Experience leading engineering teams with a history of outstanding accomplishments from architecture definition to product delivery is a plus

Experience with web security is a plus

Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts to a wide audience

Expected Compensation $172,000 - $312,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
