Founding RF Hardware Engineer
An innovative technology and consulting firm is hiring a Founding RF Hardware Engineer to pioneer and prototype next‑generation RF and SDR systems tightly integrated with AI. This is a unique opportunity to be one of the very first RF hardware engineers, shaping the hardware culture and technical direction from the ground up. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on with antennas, filters, amplifiers, and SDR platforms (USRP, Ettus, HackRF), collect and analyze RF data, tune front ends, and deploy real‑time signal‑processing pipelines on embedded or edge devices.
As the founding RF hardware engineer, you’ll be empowered to make critical architectural and design decisions, working alongside top AI and data science teams to deliver high‑impact solutions for federal and enterprise clients. You’ll have the freedom to drive technical innovation, take ownership of projects, and directly see the results of your work on real‑world applications.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years professional experience in RF hardware engineering
In‑depth expertise with SDR platforms
Strong skills working hands‑on with antennas, filters, and amplifiers
Track record of deploying real‑time signal‑processing pipelines
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities
Desired Skills & Experience
Background integrating hardware with AI/ML workflows
Experience designing for embedded or edge systems
Familiarity with large‑scale or federal/enterprise deployments
Programming for SDR (Python, C++, or similar languages)
Strong communication and team collaboration skills

60% RF Hardware (SDR, antennas, amplifiers, filters)
25% Signal Processing & Data Analysis
15% AI Integration and Prototyping
Daily Responsibilities
70% Hands‑On, Technical Execution
10% Practice or Project Management
