Senior Power Generation Project Manager – HDR – Michigan (Ann Arbor)
HDR, a collaborative employee‑owned firm, seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex power generation projects for industrial, institutional, municipal, IPP and utility clients. The role involves client relationship management, strategic planning, multi‑discipline coordination, and delivering projects within scope, time and budget.
Responsibilities include:
Direct and coordinate single or multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.
Manage large or technically complex projects, often with extensive staff.
Produce and balance multiple concurrent projects.
Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
Coordinate staffing, workload, and deliverable schedules.
Track financial performance; adjust work efforts to meet budget and schedule commitments.
Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic reviews.
Implement QA/QC procedures.
Supervise and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers.
Perform additional duties as required.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree.
PMP certification.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of related experience and 5 years of project management experience.
Professional engineering license from the licensing board in the state of employment (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project (Access experience a plus).
Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
