General Manager – MRO (Airline Maintenance) Lead the management of a maintenance, repair, and overhaul business for aircraft and engines, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance while developing a high‑performance team.

Responsibilities

Establish and monitor short‑term and long‑term goals that support business objectives such as safety, quality, turnaround time, customer service, revenue, EBITDA, capacity management, reliability of scheduling, and mechanic utilization.

Assess, procure, and manage resources—including capital, staffing, skill levels, materials, and facilities—to run a sustainable business.

Develop a high‑performance team at all levels, fostering a culture that contributes to employee development and satisfaction while meeting objectives.

Distribute workload among direct reports to maximize results and maintain internal information systems that identify needs or resource gaps.

Ensure Repair Station activities meet Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), the Repair Station Manual (RSM), FAA and other regulatory agency standards.

Verifying operating procedures comply with company policies, applicable laws, regulations, airworthiness directives, and safety standards; enforce employee adherence to corporate policies.

Represent the company and negotiate with private organizations and government entities impacting operations.

Provide the necessary work instructions, processes, equipment, and tools to MRO licensed and unlicensed technicians to meet business goals.

Ensure all MRO activities follow company procedures and quality requirements, including the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Annual Operating Plan.

Position Profile – Required

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related field; Master’s in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Languages:

English.

Previous Experience:

Minimum ten (10) years in aircraft MRO or engine MRO with at least ten years in a leadership capacity. Proven track record in hiring, mentoring high‑performing teams, FAA regulatory knowledge, and driving results through production partnerships.

Tools:

Proficiency in EMX, UKG, and PEGASIS systems.
