Job Purpose The PCB Fabrication business is currently based out of facilities in US (San Jose & Costa Mesa), Singapore & China (Wuxi) and provides a wide range of complex PCBs for the world’s leading manufacturers within very diversified market sectors like Aerospace & Defense, AI & Centers, Automotive, Industrial to name a few.
Nature Of Duties / Responsibilities
The scope of the job is global spanning Sanmina's PCB manufacturing facilities in Asia and North America.
Define & develop Commodity Sourcing Strategy for PCB Raw Materials (Laminates, Prepregs, Copper Foils) & Mfg Supplies (Chemicals, Inks, Drills).
Develop and manage executive level engagement and relationships with existing strategic suppliers as per business needs, technology roadmap and footprint of operations.
Assess the capability gaps in existing supply chains and identify & develop new suppliers to bridge those.
Own the supplier selection, commercials including pricing & business awards (sourcing) throughout multiple stages of business engagement viz. RFQ, NPI & Mass Pro, in case of new & existing customers.
Remain engaged closely with quote and operations teams to provide them necessary guidance & direction.
Ensure compliance of contracts & agreements e.g. NDA, PA, VMI etc. with the suppliers.
Conduct periodic business review with management of strategic suppliers for strengthening engagement, enhancing cost competitiveness & driving favorable terms.
Periodically gather, develop and share Procurement Intelligence on Market, Supply, Pricing aspects of PCB Materials and Mfg Supplies with Internal stakeholders.
Depending upon the nature & severity of escalations on supplier, support the internal stakeholders to resolve it.
Experience in working in EMS, ODM &/or Tier 1 PCB manufacturing environment in North America &/or Europe with exposure to various markets viz. Silicon, Industrial, Defense & Aerospace, Automotive & Telecommunications.
Excellent communication (written & spoken) skills in English. Being multilingual will be an advantage.
Being able to think and act strategically and yet is able to demonstrate excellent tactical acumen in case of routine activities & escalations.
Excellent skills in using MS Office ( Excel, Powerpoint, Word ).
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or Electronics Engineering is essential.
15-20 Yrs experience in Commodity Management of PCB &/or PCB Raw Materials at Regional (Americas) &/or Global level is a must.
A very good knowledge of the PCB manufacturing process is very important as is an ability to “speak the language” and “connect” up, down, inside and outside the organization.
Experience in customer facing role is an added advantage.
Experience in working in EMS, ODM &/or Tier 1 PCB manufacturing environment in North America &/or Europe with exposure to various markets viz. Silicon, Industrial, Defense & Aerospace, Automotive & Telecommunications.
Excellent communication (written & spoken) skills in English. Being multilingual will be an advantage.
Being able to think and act strategically and yet is able to demonstrate excellent tactical acumen in case of routine activities & escalations.
Excellent skills in using MS Office ( Excel, Powerpoint, Word ).

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range (annual): $148,000.00 - $210,000.00
Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
