Grubhub is building a centralized Revenue Strategy organization responsible for driving predictable, profitable growth across our marketplace. As the Director of Revenue Analytics, you will lead the central analytics function that powers this operating system by turning data, insights, and predictive models into actions that increase merchant yield, improve customer economics, and accelerate overall revenue performance.

Reporting to the VP of Revenue Strategy & Operations, you will be the company’s point person for understanding the levers that drive revenue across acquisition, activation, order frequency, pricing, commission structures, and marketplace health. You will partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Data Science to ensure Grubhub moves from reactive analysis to predictive, insight‑driven decision‑making.

The ideal candidate combines deep business acumen, strong mastery of revenue and margin mechanics, and a modern approach to analytics, including familiarity with predictive modeling and the ability to leverage AI to scale decisioning.

The Impact You Will Make

Lead the design and evolution of Grubhub’s centralized revenue analytics framework, defining the core metrics, models, and insights that underpin our revenue strategy operating system.

Own the company’s understanding of revenue yield across merchant segments, product surfaces, and marketplace dynamics. Identify opportunities to improve take rate, lifetime value, and contribution margin.

Partner with Strategy & Operations to operationalize insights into programs, playbooks, and frontline guidance (e.g., pricing packages, Next Best Action recommendations).

Lead revenue forecasting across new merchant acquisition, activation, retention, and order frequency ensuring accuracy, transparency, and clear drivers.

Partner with Finance to align forecasts with budgeting, performance targets, and scenario planning.

Apply predictive analytics and machine learning (in partnership with Data Science) to model churn, lifetime value, pricing elasticity, and yield optimization.

Develop deep insights into merchant cohort health, margin contribution, and operational performance.

Identify revenue‑critical trends and opportunities such as commission optimization, product adoption, feature engagement, and cross‑sell / up‑sell potential.

Deliver actionable insights that guide Sales, Account Management, and Merchant Success teams.

Evaluate and apply AI/ML technologies to improve forecasting accuracy, anomaly detection, targeting, and prioritization.

Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to build scalable data products (dashboards, models, automated insights) that power self‑serve decisioning for GTM and operations teams.

Stay current with emerging AI tools that can elevate modeling, automation, and insight generation.

Serve as a strategic advisor across Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, Marketplace Operations, Finance, and Product.

Drive alignment of data definitions, inputs, and KPIs across the full revenue funnel.

Ensure consistent, high‑quality insights that support fast, confident decision‑making.

Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performance revenue analytics team.

Establish a culture of curiosity, analytical rigor, and operational excellence.

Develop clear workflows and operating mechanisms that enable the team to deliver consistent value.

What You Bring to the Table

10+ years of experience in revenue analytics, revenue strategy, forecasting, or marketplace analytics; 5+ years leading teams.

Demonstrated expertise in revenue yield mechanics, contribution margin modeling, and marketplace or multi‑sided business economics.

Ability to translate complex business dynamics into clear insights that drive prioritization and action.

Strong analytical skills and fluency with SQL, BI tools (Tableau/Looker/Power BI), and data‑modeling workflows.

Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning concepts, and AI‑powered analytics; able to partner with Data Science to design and deploy models.

Proven track record leading analytics in a high‑growth, complex environment (marketplace, technology, restaurant/commerce, logistics a plus).

High business acumen with an operator mindset that is able to see the “so what” behind the numbers and influence decision‑making at all levels.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executives and simplify complexity for non‑technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to build a central analytics hub that supports cross‑functional teams and improves data consistency, yield, and predictability.
