Associate Director, Operations Finance
BD is one of the world’s largest medical technology companies, and we are seeking an Associate Director, Operations Finance to join our Specimen Management Business Unit. You will support BDX and BD Manufacturing sites by providing financial insight to leadership teams and partnering with cross‑functional business partners.
Job Summary The role will be responsible for supporting BDX/BD and MFG sites in the Specimen Management Business Unit by providing financial support to the site leadership teams as well as working closely with various business partners including HR, IT, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Accounting & Audit, Internal Controls and Compliance. The individual will have significant interaction with senior management team at all levels of the organization and may be required to travel between the BDX and BD MFG sites and visit other BD locations globally.
Responsibilities
Provide financial reporting and analysis on a monthly basis to BDX and BD SM MFG leaderships and their teams.
Partner with Site Leadership Teams to provide insight into financials and operational metrics and assist in decision‑making processes.
Assist in development and preparation of annual budgets for each site.
Monitor actual performance against budgeted results and provide variance explanations.
Prepare presentations for executive level reviews.
Support special projects as assigned.
Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Corporate Functions, Global Sites) and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, customers).
Coordinate Business Review meetings between the SM MFG leaderships and their teams and corporate functional leaders.
Manage relationships with external auditors and tax professionals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
CPA designation preferred.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to influence others across functions and hierarchies.
Proficient computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
Experience with ERP systems and Oracle desired.
Travel up to 10% may be required.
