Director of Strategy & Business Development
Join Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), one of the world’s largest medical technology companies, to drive growth and innovation within the Specimen Management business. As Director, you will lead strategic initiatives focused on opportunity identification & evaluation, external partnerships, upstream marketing, and new product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Work with business and R&D leadership to establish short‑term and long‑term innovation strategy.
Prepare and present new business opportunities to senior leaders, including detailed financial analysis and market assessment.
Conduct market research to identify unmet needs, emphasizing Voice of the Customer.
Partner with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Business Development, etc.) to execute innovation projects.
Maintain deep understanding of Specimen Management space.
Develop framework and metrics to prioritize innovation opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, marketing, or health care (required).
MBA with concentration in marketing, strategy, or finance (preferred).
2‑3 years of management consulting experience (preferred).
Minimum 5 years in marketing, innovation, or corporate strategy.
Proven track record of delivering strategic objectives and leading cross‑functional teams.
Experience in new product development, innovation, business development, and market research.
Strong analytical, customer‑orientation, influencing, and communication skills.
Travel 25% of the time.
Strategic thinker with growth mindset.

Salary Range USD $169,700 – $305,700 annually.
