Director of Strategy & Business Development

As the Director of Strategy & Business Development, you will lead strategic initiatives focused on opportunity identification, external partnerships, upstream marketing, and new product innovation for the Specimen Management business. You will work cross‑functionally with R&D, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Corporate Strategy to define growth‑focused innovation strategies and deliver transformational growth opportunities. Key Capabilities Needed

Strategic Innovation Leadership – Define and execute growth‑focused innovation strategies and shape upstream marketing direction. Opportunity Assessment & Business Case Development – Build robust investment cases through market analysis, financial modeling, and risk evaluation. Customer & Market Insight Generation – Lead VOC research and competitive analysis to uncover unmet needs. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Influence – Align and inspire diverse teams to deliver innovation projects and strategic objectives. Healthcare Industry & New Product Development Expertise – Deep understanding of market dynamics, emerging technologies, and clinical needs. Key Responsibilities Will Include

Work with business and R&D leadership to establish short‑term and long‑term innovation strategy. Prepare and present new business opportunities to senior leaders based on detailed financial analysis and market opportunity. Conduct market research and collect VOC through interviews, surveys, ethnographic research, etc. Partner with business, Corporate R&D, Medical Affairs, Business Development, and Regional Marketing to drive innovation projects across all stages of product development. Maintain a deep understanding of the Specimen Management space, including market trends, competitive landscape, and technology trends. Collaborate on developing a framework and metrics to prioritize innovation hunting grounds and opportunities. Education/Experience Requirements

BS/BA in business, science, marketing, or health care is required. MBA with concentration in marketing, strategy, or finance is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, innovation, or corporate strategy. Track record of delivering upon project and strategic business objectives in roles of increasing responsibility. Experience in new product development, innovation, and business development. Skilled at developing marketing models and business cases for investment. Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams. Healthcare industry experience (Medical Device, Diagnostic or Life Science Industry) is a plus. Travel required (25%).
