General Manager – Optical at National Vision Inc. (Eyeglass World) – Oversee a high‑performance optical store, drive sales, cultivate a customer‑first culture, and lead a team to achieve operational excellence. Company Description
National Vision, operating over 100 Eyeglass World stores nationwide, is renowned for bold eyewear trends, affordable prices, and same‑day service. We are a larger family of brands dedicated to making quality eye care and eyewear more affordable and accessible to everyone. Job Description
What would you do? – The Specifics Achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service. Monitor and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals (e.g., reviewing the P&L). Monitor sales results against budget. Ensure all store associates maintain the highest level of customer service. Investigate and compile competitive information. Provide daily and weekly statistics to the District Manager and corporate office. Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions. Hire, supervise, and train all store associates. Motivate associates to exceed performance standards. Maintain professional relations with physicians, fellow National Vision associates, and customers. Qualifications
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Strong numerical aptitude and ability to calculate figures. Problem‑solving skills: collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Management experience in the optical industry. Proficient computer skills. Benefits
