This position is contingent upon successful contract award. Prevailance is seeking an expert-level CENTCOM‑focused Security Cooperation / Coalition Planner to provide senior planning support across bilateral, multilateral, and coalition operational planning efforts. This role requires extensive experience as a lead planner at the Combatant Command or Component Command level, mastery of OPLAN and CONPLAN development, and deep understanding of Middle Eastern political, religious, and ethnic dynamics. The ideal candidate brings Foreign Area Officer expertise, strong diplomatic awareness, and the ability to integrate partner‑nation considerations into complex operational plans.
Responsibilities
Provide expert bilateral and multilateral planning analysis in support of Combatant Command and Component Command planning efforts
Support development, integration, and refinement of contingency plans across the USCENTCOM AOR
Apply extensive knowledge of OPLAN and CONPLAN development, including synchronizing partner‑nation contributions and equities
Incorporate geopolitical, religious, ethnic, and cultural factors into planning efforts involving Middle Eastern states and regional partners
Coordinate with U.S. Embassies, Security Cooperation Offices, SDO/DATTs, and USLO structures to ensure operational plans align with diplomatic frameworks
Support contingency planning across joint, bilateral, multilateral, and coalition environments, including compartmented planning efforts
Participate in planning conferences, working groups, and joint operational forums across the region
Conduct staff‑level reviews of planning products and provide coordinated inputs, recommendations, and formal responses
Assist in developing component supporting plans to major combatant command OPLANs and CONPLANs
Produce high‑quality briefs, assessments, information papers, and formal correspondence for senior leadership
Provide in‑progress reviews (IPRs) and planning updates to leadership, ensuring plans align with service capabilities and deployment/employment considerations
Support development of strategic, policy, campaign, and posture planning documents
Assist with planning, coordination, and management of conferences, working groups, and regional planning engagements
Participate in joint and coalition battle rhythm events and provide planning support for emergent requirements
Requirements
Foreign Area Officer (FAO) designation
8–10 years of experience as a lead planner at the Combatant Command and/or Component Command level
Demonstrated expertise in OPLAN and CONPLAN development, including partner‑nation integration
Documented experience with Middle Eastern geopolitical, religious, and ethnic dynamics
Familiarity with U.S. diplomatic structures including Embassies, SDO/DATT, and USLO
Desired Qualifications
Expert‑level planning experience in joint, bilateral, multilateral, and coalition environments
Skilled in producing briefs, assessments, and formal planning correspondence
Proven ability to support highly compartmented planning efforts
Strong ability to provide rapid, accurate updates for emergent and time‑sensitive planning tasks
Deep understanding of inter‑service coordination and operational integration
Flexible and responsive to dynamic planning requirements
Education
Master’s degree (MA/MS)
Graduate of JPME II, Staff College, or War College
Clearance
Possesses Top Secret Clearance (SCI preferred)
Secret may be acceptable depending on mission needs
