Job Summary Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring all products meet our established reliability and workmanship requirements and support our overall quality control program.
Responsibilities
Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods such as standard comparison, dimensional measurement, functional examination, and electrical testing as required.
Check that assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements.
Review blueprints, electrical schematics and specifications, compare to produced goods, and generate an inspection report documenting all deviations.
Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.
Assist in training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
Propose improvements to the production process.
Monitor equipment use to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements.
Update job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
Keep measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Operate basic electrical measuring equipment.
Collect and compile statistical quality data.
Assist in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
Determine causes of product defects and reworks.
Verify all equipment is calibrated correctly.
Inspect welded components.
Understand the functionality of basic electrical components for use in industrial electrical cabinets/panels.
Coordinate and support customers during the FAT process.
Requirements
Associate’s degree required.
One year of experience with electrical inspection and testing required.
One year of experience with fabrication and welding inspection required.
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills required.
Keen attention to detail required.
Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications required.
Ability to use measuring devices such as gauges, meters, calipers, and computers required.
In‑depth understanding of company standards required.
Up‑to‑date knowledge of federal and industry standards, UL codes, and best practices required.
Understanding of target market and consumer needs required.
Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities required.
Documentation and reporting skills required.
Teamwork and collaboration required.

Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50 lbs or more required.
