What’s a day in the life of a District Shift Leader? District Shift Leaders perform management duties at a home location and support other bakeries in the market as needed. Traveling allows further independence and learning from additional leaders. In the absence of a General Manager, a District Shift Leader leads the store. Shifts start as early as 3 am for bake‑and‑open duties. You’ll lead by example, serve as a brand ambassador, and coach teams. You’ll jump into different roles each shift to ensure high‑quality food, beverages, and a safe, clean store. The GM development plan covers inventory tracking, vendor orders, cash management, P&L analysis, food‑cost and labor targets, scheduling, and recruiting.

What We’re Looking for
Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market
Expected to accept a permanent General Manager promotion when available
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred
Must be able to work varied hours/days, including early hours and weekends (starting as early as 3 am)
Must pass a background check and possess a current, valid driver’s license
Must complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification by the end of the GM development plan (unless already certified)
Tip eligibility subject to state regulations
Additional benefits eligibility subject to position guidelines at time of hire

Hourly Rate $11.67 – $18.67 per hour
Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations.
