Job overview and responsibilities

To provide business leadership, quality control procedures and ensure that inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations and the United Airlines Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) at the SFO Engine Shop or Components Shops

Position is a supervisory member of the Air Carriers Inspection Unit in compliance with 14CFR121.369(8) and 14CFR121.371b and as such has inspection decision authority and responsibility

May support other Air Operators in the performance of maintenance and is responsible to ensure the work performed complies with the customers regulatory and maintenance program requirements

Participates as a partner with overall Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective

Execute Daily Operational plan and follow up

Monitor and control compliance to FAA Approved Required Inspections and other Inspection tasks performed

Short term guidance and direction to subordinates

Apply Continuous Process Improvement and implement process, tooling and systems improvement initiatives as appropriate

Qualifications What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

High School and post High School Aviation Maintenance Technical Training or equivalent Associate Certificate or Military Aviation Training

FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

Two years Inspection experience of large transport aircraft

Experience supervising maintenance or inspection personnel

Understanding of Engine Systems and structure, Federal Air Regulations, Operator Maintenance and Inspection Program, including Maintenance Procedures and Repair

Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing methods and principles

Certification in one of more Non-Destructive Testing methods

The base pay range for this role is $124,344.05 to $151,976.06.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
