Required Skills Cisco CCNA certification Cisco CCNP certification 46 years of experience with Cisco Firewalls (ASA5508-X, ASA5585-X, FirePower 4110/2120) 46 years of experience with Cisco Routers 46 years of experience with Cisco Switches (3750, C9500, C9300, Nexus 5k/7k) 46 years of experience with Wireshark Experience supporting statewide WAN, LAN, and wireless networks Experience configuring and maintaining Meraki switches, wireless access points, and MX firewalls Ability to communicate design and implementation details to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong experience troubleshooting remote communications with partner county IT teams
Preferred Skills 46 years of experience with Cisco ISE 46 years of experience with Cisco VPN 46 years of experience with Cisco hardware administration 5+ years of experience designing and operating public/private networks (LAN/MAN/WAN) Experience supporting Microsoft network communications (formerly MCSE) 4+ years of experience planning/implementing hybrid networking, routing, security, and private access to Azure Knowledge of AD, DNS, ADFS, PKI, .1X authentication, and PowerShell
Key Responsibilities: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot statewide WAN, LAN, wireless, and site-to-site tunnel infrastructure Develop detailed implementation and test plans for Cisco/Meraki technologies Research software releases and support software upgrades Document all requests and changes in the IT service desk system Analyze system logs and recommend performance, scalability, and security improvements Provide remote troubleshooting across DSS and county partner systems Manage projects end-to-end when serving as lead (scope, requirements, architecture, implementation) Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to peers Collaborate closely with technical teams and meet project deadlines
